Orizaba is the highest mountain in Mexico and the highest volcano in North America, its height is 18490 ft / 5636 m.
Orizaba is also the third highest mountain in North America, second only to McKinley in Alaska (20160 ft / 6145 m) and Mount Logan in the Yukon Territory in Canada (19550 ft / 5958 m).
The Orizaba volcano is the seventh peak in the list of the largest mountains in terms of relative height (16150 ft / 4922 m).
The volcano is part of the Cordillera, where the other mountains of Mexico, Popocatepetl and the Sierra Madre, are located.
The top of Orizaba, due to its high altitude, is covered with snow all year round.
The volcano is one of the seven highest volcanoes and the 7 Summits alternative program.

Arrival in the capital of Mexico - Mexico City (7350 ft / 2240 m)

In the morning you will be picked up in the lobby of the hotel and the whole day will be devoted to the excursion part with a guide
Pyramids of Teotihuacan - The historical center of Mexico City
After it is over, the participants will be transferred to the hotel

Transfer Mexico City - Zaopan
Overnight at the shelter. (10170 ft / 3100 m)
DAY 3
Climbing to the top of Cerro Negro (15500 ft / 4700 m)
Long acclimatization at the top - rest, lunch
Descent down

Early in the morning drive up to the Pedra Grande hut at the top of Orizaba (13800 ft / 4200 m)
Overnight at the shelter or in the tent camp

Acclimatization hike up to a height of 16100 ft / 4900 m
Descent to the shelter
Equipment preparation
Overnight at the shelter or in the tent camp
DAY 6
Wake up at 1-2 am
Ascent to the top of the Orizaba volcano (18490 ft / 5636 m) and descent to the Piedra Grande shelter (from 10 to 14 hours round trip)
Overnight at the shelter or in the tent camp
DAY 7
Reserve day in case of bad weather
If the weather for the main day is good, then transfer to the city of Puebla
Walk through the center of the colonial city
Overnight at the hotel

Transfer to Mexico City
